Jeff Conroy is the Executive Director of St. Vincent DePaul North Idaho.
He spent the first 13 years as an executive for the Boy Scouts of America starting in Portland Oregon then transferring to Coeur d’Alene, was the Camp Director for Camp Easton and the Inland Northwest Council’s Program Director overseeing 27 camping programs, training, advancement, budgets and all year round programs. After 3 years as Council Program Director, Jeff moved into the Assistant Scout Executive seat (COO) and led the council fundraising campaign, membership campaigns, popcorn sales, and was responsible with working with staff to reach annual goals. In his years with the Boy Scouts, Jeff learned structure, policy and procedure making, fundraising, event organization, the value of committees and proper volunteer training and recruitment and built relationship that continue today.
Became the Executive Director of the United Way of Kootenai County in 2003, where Jeff focused on marketing, community networking and awareness. He built relationships with not only stakeholders but with the local nonprofit community.
With experience in both large and small nonprofits, Jeff came to St. Vincent DePaul in 2008.
Jeff is a graduate of Western Oregon University with a degree in Music Education (yes, a music teacher), and a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University.
Locally, he is a member of the Region 1 Homeless Coalition, and the City of Coeur d’Alene’s 10 Year Plan to End Homelessness Governing Board At the state level Jeff is on the board for the Idaho Homelessness Coordinating Committee.
Jeff’s two favorite titles are husband and father. Jeff has been married to his college sweetheart for 29 years and is blessed to have three great adult children.
With 28 years experience at the helm of both large and small nonprofits, Jeff Conroy is a student of leadership. Enjoying the roll of teacher, Jeff believes that those who have been involved in leadership for an extended period of time have a duty to work with other leaders and share knowledge. It is with this philosophy that Jeff is a guest speaker, is a consultant and teacher.
